About Myself

I am kind of a person who is jack of all but Master of 'One' (Mind you not 'none'!). I am currently living in Columbus, pursuing Masters in Computer Science from The Ohio State University. I am passionate about working towards implementing 'Internet of Things'. Ofcourse learning is inherent part of this process.

I have worked at Oracle as an Application Developer for 2 years. I am quite comfortable and proficient working in java. Apart from that I too have worked in C++ and Python. The list of projects that I have worked on has been listed below.

I obtained my Bachelor's degree in Electronics from IIT Roorkee.

When I am not coding, you can find me hiking in The Himalayas. Having lived in Roorkee for 4 years, I have utilized every bit of my free time in trekking in the shivaliks, rafting in Ganga, staying in monastries and exploring the inner peace. Work Experience

Oracle

• Accounts Receivables (AR) and Vendor Revenue Management (VRM) are two different applications of the Fusion Product from Oracle. The aim of my project was to integrate the features from both these applications, so that user can be given with real-time Business solutions over cloud.
• In Accounts Receivables (AR) Application when the bills and receipts are created on different dates with different currencies, it is essential to monitor currency conversion rates to account the profit/loss due to change in these rates. The aim of my project was to help the vendor maintain the cross-currency transactions.
• Oracle is developing a new UI shell, called FUSE+, with the aim of restructuring the present UIs to be accommodative for tablets and other smart devices. My part in this project is to design and customize this UI shell for different Applications under Fusion. (Fusion is the Oracle product for complete Financial Management. It is being used world-wide by around 2000-odd customers.)

• Cracked the state level Mathematical Olympiads exams twice in 2007 and 2008.
• Awarded the prestigious KVPY scholarship. It is awarded to 200 students all over the country by Department of Science and Technology, Government of India.
• Awarded Nation Talent Search scholarship in 2007.

Extra Curricular

• I can solve Rubik’s Cube Blindfold.
• I can speak five languages. (English, Hindi, Kannada, Telugu, Tamil)
• As a member of Himalayan Explorer’s club I actively participated in various adventure sports. My significant achievement has been leading a team of students on two trekking expeditions viz. Vasuki Taal and Chandrashila peaks; which houses the highest temple in the world.
